House is expected to return to the Boston Celtics next season

Eddie House is expected to return to the Boston Celtics next season. He has a $2.86 million dollar option for the 09-10 season.

House has appeared in 159 regular games over the past two years. This includes all 81 regular games from this past season. He also has two starts last season as well. He has also appeared in all 35 playoff games over the past two seasons.

House has become a major role player off of the Celtics bench this past two seasons. He averaged 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 blocks in 19 minutes per game in 07-08 He averaged 8.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.1 blocks in 18.3 minutes per game last season.

It was the most points he averaged in a season since the 05-06 season when he played for Phoenix. House averaged 9.8 points that year in 17.5 minutes under Mike D’Antoni’s fast-passed offense. He averaged 11.1 points in 23.1 minutes per game for Charlotte, but he only appeared in 13 games for the Bobcats, before he was traded to Milwaukee and Sacramento.
